Let's Stay Together

Bryant Wilder

Bassman Bryant Wilder has delivered the funkiest instrumental version of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" ever. The horn section plays the melody and the extremely tight rhythm section provides the funk foundation. Gift some folks and expand their minds!

Bassman Bryant Wilder is a funky, funky (yes we said it twice) NYC bass player whose music you want in your rotation or playlist. Bryant is a creative bassist with solid and tasty grooves. He was raised on funk and his influences range from James Jameson, Bootsy, Rocco and Louis Louis Johnson to Will Lee, Marcus Miller, Anthony Jackson and Victor Wooten. You can hear a little bit of all of his "bass heroes" in all of his music. Bryant's latest single is an amazing cover of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" and to bring this tune to life, Bryant used a collection of the funkiest players in NYC. Bryant is bass, Nathaniel Townsley III on drums, listen to his solo before the vamp . . oh man, Willie Brown Jr. and Chris Morgan on guitars, Garnet Walters pulls double duty on piano and Hammond B3 organ, Troy Roberts on tenor sax, Andy Clausen on trombone and Mat Jodrell takes and incredible solo on trumpet. We hope you enjoy it and tell all of your music loving friends, family and co-workers about it. Until next tune . . . .

For the Good of Them - Single

Bryant Wilder

This is a great acoustic and organic version of Milton Brunson and the Thompson Community Choir's classic Gospel song.

Normally, I am about the funk. However, I had to pause and pay homage to, in my opinion, one of the great modern day gospel songs of all time. I teamed up with guitarist extraordinaire Willie Brown Jr, Richard Bona percussionist, Danny Sadownick and the always soulful vocalists,Tony McClendon. Of course, I am on bass. You must hear this version of the song to believe it. Check it out. I am sure you will enjoy it.

The Right Track

Bryant Wilder

15 ridiculously funky instrumental tracks. Bryant has blended his thunderous funky bass playing with his unique production style to craft a brand of music that is rooted in earthy grooves

Bassist, Songwriter, Arranger and Producer Bryant Wilder began his career in music 26 years ago in The Bronx. His interest in music was forged, in part, by the daily mid-afternoon band rehearsals of his cousin who lived in the same building. One could often hear the funk as it saturated the walls of the old tenement, traveled the dimly lit corridors to Bryant's room and cultivated a musical spark in his own heart. The band's bassist, a certain Puerto Rican Joe (also Bryant's earliest Bass influence!) was the center of a musical attraction for Bryant, and he termed him 'the funkiest cat alive'. From that point on, the bass was it for Bryant. And play bass he does!

He has been playing in NYC area churches since he was 15 years old. His work also includes touring, recording and/or performing for Missy Elliot, The CD Hawkins Singers, Jonathan Dubose Jr., Robert Lowe & Generations, New Kids On The Block, Shirley Caesar, Rev. Timothy Wright and the Grammy Award winning Tri-Boro Mass Choir. Recently, he has appeared on Saturday Night Live w/Missy Elliot and BET's "Bobby Jones Gospel" with Monique Walker. He has also worked as bassist for the house band for Sony Music New R&B Artists Showcases.

Bryant has performed on many of the world greatest stages, including; Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall and Madison Square Garden (MSG). He has also played MSG's Felt Forum, The Meadowlands Arena, PNC Performing Arts Center, Nassau Coliseum and the Westchester County Center.

Bryant always says, "100% is never enough" and asserts that, "Being an accompanying bassist is fun, but I know there is much more depth to the music that I create and want to play". He also believes that success is not predicated on what you already know or do, but what you are willing to learn or enhance. Therefore, he has founded "PluckWild Music"; a production company that is devoted to making the music that people want to hear. The productions incorporate both synthesized music and a level of live musicianship that he knows music lovers are ready for.

Bryant's debut CD entitled: "The Right Track" contains 15 ridiculously funky instrumental tracks. He has blended his thunderous funky bass playing with his unique production style to craft a brand of music that is rooted in earthy grooves and syncopated rhythms. This CD encompasses a variety of musical genres including, Funk (naturally), Fusion, R&B, Gospel, Hip-Hop, Salsa and House.

Guest Musicians: Nathaniel Townsley III (Drums), O'najee Alan Gumbs (Piano), Willie Brown (Guitar), CD Hawkins & Barry D (Keys), Vicki Genfan, Acoustic Guitar, Reggie Young (Bass), Angel Fernandez & Raul Argaz (Trumpet).
